Florent Fels (1891–1977) was a French journalist and the founder and editor of the magazine Action: Cahiers individualistes de philosophie et d’art. Fels dedicated this edition of his book to Blaise Cendrars (1887–1961) and reproduced an image of Modigliani's painting of the Swiss poet (Ceroni 164). While the first edition did not include any works by the artist, this edition included eighteen reproductions to accompany the section on the artist.
