Pfannstiel 1956
Pfannstiel, Arthur. Modigliani et son œuvre. Paris: Bibliotèque des Arts, 1956. Monograph. Second edition.
German-born painter-turned-translator Arthur Pfannstiel (1901–1984) published the first Modigliani catalogue raisonné, which was released in Paris in December 1929. This was the second edition of his catalogue, which was intended for a broader audience and, while it included an additional seventy-two paintings, there were far fewer reproductions.
