Basler, Adolphe. "Modigliani." Kunst und Künstler: Illustrierte Monatsschrift für Bildende Kunst (Berlin) (March–April 1930), pp. 355–63.

Adolphe Basler (1876-1951), the Polish-born art critic and dealer, met Modigliani in 1907, shortly after the artist arrived in Paris. Basler's article on the artist, which was published by the influential German art magazine Kunst und Künstler, included reproductions of ten paintings.
