Solo exhibition
1929b New York
De Hauke and Co., Inc., New York, Paintings by Amedeo Modigliani (1884–1920), October 21–November 9, 1929 (exhibition catalogue).
The trans-Atlantic partnership of César M. de Hauke (1900–1965) of New York, Etienne Bignou (1891–1950) of Paris, and Alex. Reid & Lefevre galleries of London not only allowed the dealers to pool their resources to acquire Modigliani paintings but it gave them the ability to market the works globally. Along with a number of works that had formerly belonged to Jonas Netter (1867–1946), the 1929 New York exhibition showcased paintings that had recently been acquired by collectors in the United States.
