Demotte Inc., New York, Amedeo Modigliani, 1884–1920: Retrospective Exhibition of Paintings, November 7–28, 1931 (exhibition catalogue).

Organized by art dealer Lucien Demotte (1906–1934) as a fund raiser for the "Fund Modigliani," the show was made up of three sculptures and twenty-nine paintings, almost half of which came from the Chester Dale Collection. Maud Murray Dale (1876–1953), whose 1929 monograph on the artist was the first published in the United States, contributed the foreword to the catalogue.
